Stainless steel roller chain is specified wherever carbon steel chain would corrode, contaminate the product stream, or fail to meet the hygiene standards applicable to the operating environment. Ever Power produces stainless roller chain in both 304-grade and 316L-grade austenitic stainless steel, covering ISO 606 sizes from 06B-1 to 24B-1 and ANSI B29.1 sizes from 40-1 to 80-1 in simplex configuration. The 316L grade — with its additional molybdenum content — provides significantly better resistance to chloride-induced pitting than 304, making it the correct specification for food processing, pharmaceutical, marine, and chemical plant environments where wash-down with chlorine-based cleaning agents is routine.
