With a 1 inch (25.40 mm) pitch and a minimum tensile strength of 58.0 kN in the 80-1 simplex configuration, the 80 series covers steel plant conveyor drives, heavy aggregate handling, timber processing, and mining auxiliary equipment. Per ASME B29.1-2011. 80H-1 heavy series uses larger pin diameter (9.53 mm vs standard 7.92 mm) for higher fatigue resistance under shock loading. ISO 16A-1 equivalent — inner width 15.88 mm differs slightly.

80-1 Standard — Choose when:

Load is steady or moderately variable • Speed is above 500 RPM • Budget is the primary constraint • Standard maintenance intervals are acceptable

80H-1 Heavy — Choose when:

Shock loading is frequent • Speed is below 200 RPM under high torque • Extended replacement intervals are the priority • Quarrying, aggregate, or steel plant environment

Material and Construction — Heavy Duty Focus

Seosterästapit

20CrMnTi alloy steel standard on 80 series. Chromium + manganese supports deeper case hardening and tougher core than SAE 1045 at this pin diameter. Surface 58–64 HRC, core 35–45 HRC.

Heavy-Series Side Plates

80H-1 uses thicker plate stock with tighter pitch hole tolerances vs standard 80-1. Maintains load distribution across the plate under sustained high-load cycles. Cotter-pin connecting links standard.

QC & Certification

100% proof-load tested at 50% min. tensile. Full lot traceability to mill cert. EN 10204 2.1 standard; 3.1 mill cert for regulated or safety-critical applications.
