Сипаттама
Double pitch transmission chains (DIN/ISO 208A–232B, ANSI 2040–2120) are extended-pitch roller chains designed for low-speed power transmission and conveyor applications. With link pitches from 25.40 mm to 101.60 mm and minimum tensile strengths from 14.1 kN to 250 kN, they cover a wide range of industrial and agricultural duties. Compared to standard single-pitch chains, the doubled pitch delivers lower weight per metre, greater economy for long centre distances, and reduced cost without compromising the quality of pins, rollers, or plates.
Ever-power manufactures both A-series (ANSI/ASME B29.3) and B-series (ISO 606/DIN 8187) double pitch chains, with all material and surface treatment options available from a single source. Typical applications include agricultural conveyors and harvesting equipment, food and beverage production lines, wood processing and saw-mill conveyors, packaging machinery, and general industrial transfer systems where large sprocket centre distances are required.

A-series vs. B-series
Material & Surface Options
● Carbon Steel
High-carbon plates, case-hardened rollers & pins. Standard for general industrial use.
● Stainless Steel
304 or 316 grade. Food processing, wet environments, or mild chemical exposure.
● Nickel-Plated
Electroless nickel on carbon steel base. Improved corrosion resistance at lower cost than SS.
● Zinc-Plated
Suitable for outdoor and moderately corrosive environments.
● Plastic Rollers
Sintered nylon or acetal rollers. Lube-free operation in clean environments.
Standard Roller vs. Oversized Roller
Standard Roller (R)
Roller diameter matches the standard for the equivalent single-pitch chain size. Engages sprocket teeth only. Use for conventional power transmission and sprocket-driven conveying where the chain itself does not support product weight.
Oversized Roller (LR / Large Roller)
Roller diameter exceeds the sidebar plate height — rollers protrude above the link plates. Products can rest directly on rollers, or the chain rolls along flat guide tracks. Common in assembly lines, packaging machines, and agricultural harvesting equipment.
Hollow Pin Variant (HP / K)
The hollow pin variant replaces the solid connecting pin with a tubular bore, allowing cross-rods, cleats, flights, and conveyor attachments to pass through without requiring special link plates. Request suffix HP when ordering. Typical applications: bottle and can conveying, automated assembly fixtures, agricultural seeders and planters, printer and document-feed systems.
Sprockets for Double Pitch Chains
Type A — Single tooth (full pitch)
Every tooth engages a roller. Minimum 15 teeth; 20–30 teeth typical. Behaves like a standard роликті тізбек sprocket at lower chain speeds.
Type B — Double tooth (half pitch)
Twice the tooth count; every other tooth engages. Load spread across more teeth, reduced polygonal action, longer sprocket service life.
How to Select the Right Chain
Calculate design load
Multiply transmitted power by service factor (1.3–2.0 for shock). Select a chain where Q min ≥ 5–8× design load.
Check operating speed
Double pitch chains are designed for below 2 m/s at the chain pitch point. Higher speeds: use standard single-pitch chain.
Choose roller type
Standard rollers for sprocket-driven drives. Oversized (LR) rollers when product rests on chain surface or chain rolls on a flat rail.
Specify standard and material
ANSI equipment = A-series; ISO/DIN/European equipment = B-series. Then select carbon steel, SS, nickel, zinc, or plastic rollers for your environment.
