Beskrivning
Engineering steel bushing chains are heavy-duty industrial drive chains in which the outer roller is eliminated and a hardened steel bushing contacts the sprocket teeth directly. This simplification reduces rotating mass, lowers articulation resistance, and produces a more robust link assembly suited to slow-speed, high-load conveying and lifting.
Manufactured to DIN 8164 and certified CE, GS, SGS, and ISO 9001, these chains are used across construction, mining, glass manufacturing, cement, paper mills, and any application where peak load capacity and low maintenance are priorities. The full ANSI S-series is stocked, with a comprehensive range of A-type and K-type attachment links available for conveying and special-duty applications.

Technical Advantages
High Tensile Strength — up to 990 kN average (S150F1)
Side plates and pins are heat-treated carbon steel. S150F1 delivers an average tensile of 990 kN; the S859/S864 family reaches 759 kN average. Full kN and lbf figures are in the downloadable datasheet for every model in this series.
Low Bending Resistance — Reduced Drive Load
Without the outer roller, articulation resistance drops measurably. This translates to lower motor sizing requirements and reduced energy consumption in long, continuous conveyor runs — a key operating cost advantage in bulk-materials handling.
Comprehensive Attachment Range — 8 Standard Types
A-1, A-2, A-22, K-1, K-2, K-3, K-35, and K-44 attachment links with full published dimensions. Specialty K-3 / K-35 / K-44 types are designed for heavy-load pushing and double-pitch conveying with the S150, S856–S864 chain family.
Corrosion Resistance & Wide Temperature Range
Lower bushing surface hardness improves resistance to oxidation and chemical attack. With appropriate lubricant selection, operating range extends from −20 °C to +300 °C — covering glass furnace conveyors, cement kiln chains, cold-store applications, and outdoor mining installations within the same product line.
DIN 8164 Certified — CE & GS Marked
Full DIN 8164 dimensional compliance ensures sprocket interchangeability with any standard DIN manufacturer. CE and GS marks confirm compliance with the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, eliminating import certification barriers for EU buyers.
Lubrication & Maintenance
Chain elongation beyond 2% of nominal pitch length is the standard replacement threshold. Exceeding this accelerates sprocket tooth wear and increases the risk of tooth-jump under dynamic load. Correct lubrication is the primary lever for meeting or exceeding design service life.
Manual / Drip Oil
Every 8–40 operating hours depending on load and ambient temperature. ISO VG 68–100 mineral oil is standard for most ambient-temperature installations.
Oil Bath / Slinger Disc
Preferred for enclosed drive housings running continuously. Maintains consistent film thickness across the full bushing contact zone without operator attention.
Factory Pre-Grease
Grease-packed bushings at point of manufacture. Specified for installations where post-assembly lubrication access is restricted or impractical.
High-Temp EP Grease
Required for kiln and glass-furnace applications above 150 °C. Specify operating temperature when ordering so we can recommend the correct EP grade.
