▶ Fatigue resistant
Straight plates distribute load across a larger cross-section than standard figure-eight profiles, raising the fatigue limit significantly.
▶ Induction-hardened pins
Precision ground and through-hardened for extended wear life under shock loading and high-cycle continuous conveyor duty.
▶ Factory pre-stretched
Pre-loading ensures correct pitch accuracy from the first metre; eliminates the bedding-in elongation common with new chain installations.
▶ Full-strength connecting links
Cottered or spring-clip connecting links retain 100 % of chain rated load at the joint. Optional spin-riveted for permanent assembly.

Straight side plate vs standard roller chain

✓ C-type advantage
  • Higher fatigue limit — larger plate cross-section
  • Higher static break load at same pitch
  • Flat sides guide cleanly in conveyor tracks
  • Runs on identical ANSI/ISO sprockets — no tooling change
  • Longer service intervals in continuous duty
△ Trade-offs vs standard
  • 5–12 % heavier per metre
  • Slightly higher unit cost
  • Marginally less flexible on very tight-radius turns

Typical applications

▶ Bottling & canning lines
▶ Packaging machinery
▶ Seafood & poultry processing
▶ Petroleum refineries
▶ Car wash conveyors
▶ Citrus processing
▶ Agricultural drives
▶ Material handling & sortation

Material & finish options

Carbon steel
Standard grade, zinc-phosphate pretreat, oil-impregnated bush. General industrial and agricultural use.
Stainless steel
304 or 316 grade throughout. Washdown, food-adjacent, and mildly corrosive environments.
Self-lubricating
Sintered oil-reservoir bush. Reduces or eliminates re-lube intervals in enclosed locations.
Nickel-plated
Electroless nickel on carbon steel for enhanced corrosion resistance and a clean appearance in food and beverage lines.
