A sharp top chain is a specially designed chain based on a standard roller chain with teeth within the links. The teeth are precisely sharpened, so they cause the least damage to timber. This is achieved by heat-treating the teeth, and using specially selected and manufactured materials. Sharp top chains are ideal for use in timber processing.
