Mô tả
Anti-sidebow chains for pushing window applications are engineered to transmit a compressive push force along their length while simultaneously bending laterally to follow a curved guide rail — a combination that standard roller chains cannot achieve without buckling or binding. Available in pitch sizes of 9.525 mm and 12.700 mm, these chains cover eight distinct models with ultimate tensile strengths from 6.2 kN to 15.0 kN and weights from 0.47 to 1.19 kg/m. At Ever-power, we supply the complete range to buyers in the architectural hardware, industrial automation, and window-drive system sectors worldwide.

Design & Engineering Characteristics
The defining capability of an anti-sidebow chain is lateral pivotability. When positioned correctly in its guide channel, the chain flexes sideways to follow a curved path — something conventional roller chains cannot achieve without binding or buckling. This lateral flex is built into every link through a split two-part construction: the inner link assembly and the outer link assembly. Both are manufactured from high-strength engineering plastic, while the pivot pin and locking bolt are machined from steel. A precision groove on the inner link plate accepts a central protrusion on the outer link, permitting controlled lateral rotation with no longitudinal play.
Adjacent links are joined by a hinge mechanism engineered to pivot around two independent axes simultaneously. The pivot bolt is fixed to the outer link, while the inner link engages through lateral pivot openings defined by separate support plates. Clearance tolerances within the hinge are precisely calibrated: the inner link plates rotate freely relative to the outer link plates in the lateral direction while remaining rigid under longitudinal tensile load. It is this dual-axis geometry that enables sideways bending without sacrificing push-force transmission.
Min. Bend Radius
250 mm
Extra clearance between pins and bushings enables tight-curve operation that standard roller chains cannot achieve.
Tensile Range
6.2 – 15.0 kN
Across all eight models. Select a model whose minimum tensile strength provides an adequate safety factor for your actual working load.
Pitch Options
2 pitch sizes
9.525 mm for compact window drives; 12.700 mm for heavier panels or longer strokes. Both compatible with standard roller chain sprockets.
Sliding & Pushing Window Applications
In push-type window actuator systems the chain must transmit a compressive push force along its length while following the curved geometry of the guide rail. A rigid chain would buckle under compression; a laterally flexible roller chain would sag sideways. The anti-sidebow chain is specifically engineered to resist that lateral buckle: it remains stiff enough to push the window panel without deflecting, while still conforming to the rail’s curve. The 250 mm minimum bend radius covers the overwhelming majority of architectural window guide rail geometries used in commercial and industrial buildings.
The P9.525 mm series (06BF33SS, 06BF34, 06CF22) suits compact mechanisms where space limits sprocket diameter and the panel weight is moderate. The P12.700 mm series (08BF6, 415BF4, 08BSSF20, 08BSSF74, P12.7F4) offers higher tensile ratings — up to 15.0 kN on the P12.7F4 — and is preferred for heavier panels or extended push strokes. The stainless steel variants (06BF33SS, 08BSSF20, 08BSSF74) are recommended wherever outdoor exposure, coastal salt air, or high humidity makes corrosion resistance a priority.
Anti-Sidebow Chains and Compatible Sprockets
Because anti-sidebow chains share pitch dimensions with standard xích con lăn, they can generally be paired with off-the-shelf roller chain sprockets of the matching pitch. However, the enlarged pin-to-bushing clearances alter the engagement geometry. For demanding applications — high-cycle actuators, precision positioning, or heavy push loads — Ever-power recommends sprockets specifically selected for anti-sidebow use. These are available in carbon steel, hardened steel, and stainless steel, with a range of bore diameters and keyway configurations.
When ordering, please specify the chain model number, required tooth count, bore diameter, and any special material or coating requirements. We can also supply guide rails and end stops for a complete push-window drive assembly.
