Dây xích trên bằng cao su 12B-G1
A precision roller chain with a vulcanised rubber bridge bonded across every link — engineered for conveyor systems that move scratch-sensitive or surface-critical goods. Zero metal-to-product contact. Full 29.0 kN tensile strength retained.
Shore 65–85
Rubber Hardness
The 12B-G1 Rubber Top Chain — also called a G1-type rubber bridge chain hoặc non-marking conveyor chain — combines the structural integrity of a standard 12B-1 roller chain with a factory-bonded rubber pad that sits above the link plates. The pad is the only element that contacts the conveyed product, keeping steel away from finished surfaces throughout the entire conveyor run.
At roller-chain-manufacturers.com we produce 12B-G1 chain to ISO/DIN/BS drawing tolerances in alloy steel and stainless steel, with NBR or natural-rubber (NR) top pads and your choice of rubber hardness. Every production batch is shipped with material certificates and dimensional inspection reports.

Surface Protection — Zero Metal-to-Product Contact
The rubber pad is the only element that touches the conveyed product. For finished wood panels, float glass, and lacquered boards, a single chain-mark causes rejection. The G1 pad eliminates that risk across the entire conveyor run, reducing scrap and rework costs in downstream QC.
Pad Damping Extends Chain Service Life 20–30%
The rubber bridge absorbs impact energy at every product contact point, reducing peak dynamic loads transmitted to the roller and pin. Lower Hertzian stress at the bushing–roller interface means the chain stretches more slowly. In woodworking lines, observed replacement intervals are typically 20–30% longer than bare-metal chain under equivalent duty.
29.0 kN Minimum — No Derating Required
Adding the rubber top does not reduce structural chain strength. The minimum tensile strength of 29.0 kN (6,591 lbf) is identical to a standard 12B-1 chain. The G1 variant mounts on the same sprockets and fits into the same drive calculations — no re-engineering of the existing conveyor frame or drive components.
Vibration Isolation — Measurable Noise Reduction
The rubber pad acts as a vibration isolator between the chain strand and the conveyed load. In panel-processing lines running at sustained speeds, this reduces airborne noise and structure-borne vibration reaching the machine frame — improving the working environment without additional acoustic enclosures or damping mounts.
Rubber Pad Shields Outer Plates from Abrasive Contact
On ceramic tile and glass lines, direct abrasive contact is the primary cause of accelerated plate wear. The rubber top shields the outer plate surface, significantly reducing abrasive wear between lubrication cycles. Standard lubrication interval remains 250–500 operating hours, same as conventional roller chain.

Sprocket Compatibility & Selection
The 12B-G1 dây xích cao su phía trên runs on standard 12B sprockets — the rubber pad sits above the sprocket tooth envelope and does not affect engagement geometry. Sprocket specification follows BS/ISO 12B: tooth form to ISO 606, bore and keyway to customer drawing or standard range. We supply matched sprockets in C45 steel (induction-hardened tooth flanks, suitable to 60 HRC) or cast iron for low-speed, low-load installations.
⚠ Replacement note: Always inspect sprocket wear before fitting new 12B-G1 chain. A worn sprocket accelerates pitch elongation of new chain by up to 3×, negating the extended service life the rubber pad provides. Replace sprockets with a measured pitch wear of >2% from nominal.

Lubrication & Maintenance
Lubrication Interval
Every 250–500 operating hours
Adjust to lower end of range in high-temperature or dusty environments.
Lubricant Type
Synthetic chain oil ISO VG 100–220
Avoid aromatic petroleum oils with NBR pads — causes pad swelling.
Application Method
Lower-strand inner-plate gap
Wipe excess off rubber surface — prevents product contamination.
Pad Inspection
Every 100 hours in abrasive service
Replace chain if pads show cracking, chunking, or ≥50% compression loss.
Cleaning
Warm water or mild detergent
Never solvent-wash rubber-top chains — degrades pad bonding adhesive.
Storage
5–30 °C, dark, dry, away from ozone
UV and ozone cause surface cracking of both NR and NBR grades.
