The C100HSP-00 is a heavy-duty, high-strength roller chain engineered for continuous operation under extreme load and vibration conditions. With a minimum tensile strength of 250 kN, a pitch of 31.75 mm, and a validated fatigue life exceeding 10 million cycles, it is a dependable drive component for quarrying equipment, construction machinery, and heavy industrial production lines where standard roller chains would fail prematurely.

Unlike standard 100-1 roller chain, every component in the C100HSP-00 uses a dedicated alloy grade selected for its structural role — 42CrMo case-hardened pins, 35CrMo heat-treated rollers, 20CrMo carburised sleeves, and 40Mn alloy steel plates. The result is a chain that occupies the same envelope as a standard 100-series drive but delivers a substantially higher load margin, extending replacement intervals and reducing unplanned downtime costs.

Key Performance Features

▶ Dedicated Alloy Grades Per Component

The 42CrMo pin resists shear and bending fatigue. The 35CrMo roller absorbs repeated impact without spalling. The 20CrMo sleeve maintains bore geometry over long service intervals. The 40Mn plate is shot-peened to introduce compressive surface stress that delays fatigue crack initiation. No cost-saving single-grade compromises.

▶ 250 kN Tensile Strength — No Sprocket Changes

At 31.75 mm pitch, a standard 100-1 chain breaks at around 200 kN. The C100HSP-00 raises this to a minimum of 250 kN — a 25% increase — while keeping identical external dimensions. Existing 100-series sprockets remain fully compatible. Operators upgrade chain strength without retooling or re-engineering the drive.

▶ >10 Million Cycle Validated Fatigue Life

Fatigue life is measured, not estimated. For a 24-hour continuous drive running at 1,500 RPM, 10 million cycles corresponds to roughly 111 hours of non-stop operation — repeated over the chain’s service life. In practice, maintenance intervals are predictable and planned, reducing emergency downtime costs significantly.

▶ Pre-lubricated Option for Sealed Environments

Optional factory pre-lubrication packs grease into the pin-sleeve-roller interface at assembly, under controlled pressure. This extends the initial lubrication interval to 200+ hours and is recommended for enclosed drives where re-lubrication access is difficult or where contamination must be minimised.

Typical Applications

Quarrying & Mining

Crusher feed conveyors, screen drives, and underground haulage systems. Constant exposure to dust, abrasive grit, and shock loading demands the higher plate strength and alloy pin specification of the HSP series.

Construction Machinery

Main drive chains on concrete batching plants, piling rigs, tower crane slewing mechanisms, and large material hoists. Intermittent peak loads and outdoor exposure are managed by the heat-treated alloy construction throughout.

Heavy Manufacturing

Transfer conveyors, press feeds, automated assembly lines, and stamping plant transfer systems. Sustained high-speed operation with minimal downtime tolerance benefits from the validated fatigue life and predictable replacement scheduling.

Forestry & Timber Processing

Log infeed decks, debarker drives, and sawmill transfer chains. Impact loading from irregular log dimensions and bark debris contamination are the primary life-limiting factors — both addressed by the induction-hardened roller and carburised sleeve.

Bulk Material Handling

En-masse conveyors, apron feeders, drag-chain systems for aggregates, coal, and mineral concentrates. The C100HSP-00’s higher tensile rating allows designers to reduce chain strand count in twin-strand drives or increase the design safety factor in single-strand configurations.

Installation & Maintenance Guidelines

⚠ Note on sprocket condition: Always inspect sprocket tooth profiles when fitting a new chain. Fitting a new chain on a worn sprocket will halve the expected service life of the replacement. When tooth profile loss exceeds 10%, replace sprocket and chain together.

1

Căn chỉnh đĩa xích

Misalignment of more than 1 mm per metre of shaft centre distance accelerates plate wear. Check alignment with a straight-edge or laser alignment tool at every chain replacement.

2

Initial Chain Sag

Set chain sag at 2–3% of the horizontal span. Over-tensioning loads the pin and sleeve interface unnecessarily and is as damaging as excess slack.

3

Lubrication Interval

Clean environments: re-lubricate every 200 hours with ISO VG 100–150 gear oil. Dusty or wet conditions: reduce to every 50–80 hours using a grease-barrier product to block contamination ingress.

4

Elongation Limit — Replace at 1.5%

Measure pitch elongation with a 10-link gauge. At 1.5% elongation, rollers begin riding up the sprocket teeth, accelerating wear on both chain and sprocket. Do not exceed this threshold.

5

Connecting Link Specification

Use only the supplied C100HSP cotter-pin connecting link. Do not substitute a spring clip — the cotter pin design is specified for this load class and rated tensile strength.

Compatible Sprockets

The C100HSP-00 runs on any standard 100-series sprocket (31.75 mm pitch, ISO 606 tooth profile). Ever-power Engineer Class Chain Co.,Ltd supplies matched sprockets in the configurations below. Contact us with tooth count and bore size to confirm the right specification.

C45 Carbon Steel

Standard grade. Suitable for most industrial drives. Available in plain bore or finished bore.

42CrMo Alloy Steel

Heavy-duty grade for high-load, shock-loaded, or high-cycle applications. Taper-lock hub option available.

Cast Iron

Low-speed, low-cost bulk handling. Suitable for speeds below 0.5 m/s where cost per unit is the primary driver.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

What is the rated tensile strength of the C100HSP-00?

The minimum tensile strength is 250 kN. This exceeds the standard ISO 100-1 specification by at least 25%, achieved through premium alloy steels and a controlled heat-treatment process for each component individually.

Is the C100HSP-00 a direct replacement for a standard 100-1 roller chain?

Yes. The external dimensions — pitch, roller diameter, and inner width — are identical to a standard 100-1 chain. Existing 100-series sprockets are fully compatible. No modifications to the drive system are required.

How often should the chain be lubricated?

In clean, enclosed environments: every 200 operating hours using ISO VG 100–150 oil. In abrasive, wet, or outdoor environments: every 50–80 hours. Use penetrating chain oil or a grease-type product suited to the operating conditions. Do not run the chain dry.

When should the chain be replaced?

Replace when pitch elongation reaches 1.5% as measured over a 10-link span, or when visible plate cracking, roller damage, or seized joints are found during inspection. Replace chain and sprocket together at this point to prevent the new chain from being accelerated-worn by the old sprocket profile.
