Description
ANSI 50 roller chain operates on a 5/8 inch (15.875 mm) pitch and is the standard step up from the 40 series for drives requiring greater load capacity without moving to the wider 3/4 inch pitch of the 60 series. The 50-1 simplex and 50-2 duplex cover the majority of medium-duty industrial drive requirements in North American-specification equipment. Ever Power manufactures both strand configurations to ASME B29.1, with case-hardened alloy steel pins at 58–64 HRC, through-hardened bushings at 50–58 HRC, and shot-peened rollers. The ISO equivalent designation is 10A-1 (simplex) — always confirm the correct standard before ordering for an existing drive, as inner width differs slightly between the two standards.

SAE 1040–1050 cold-stamped. Work-hardened at pitch holes for fatigue resistance. Alloy steel (20CrMnTi) available for heavy-duty variants.

Gas-carburised pins 58–64 HRC. Through-hardened bushings 50–58 HRC, controlled interference fit. Proof-load tested to 50% min. tensile per batch.
Rouleaux
Shot-peened 58–64 HRC carbon steel. Peening introduces compressive residual stress extending fatigue life 20–35% over unpeened production.
